On December 28, China’s Civil Aviation Administration issued a notice clarifying that starting from January 8, 2023, many restrictions on international flight traffic canceled.

As many airlines successively open, resume, and increase the number of international routes to and from China, the international civil aviation market is recovering significantly. This policy adjustment will further stimulate the recovery of international passenger flow.

As of December 22, Hainan Airlines has resumed and newly opened a total of 13 international and regional passenger routes including Beijing-Brussels. In addition to domestic airlines, many foreign airlines are also actively resuming passenger international flights to and from China. It is reported that Singapore Airlines announced that it would resume direct passenger flight services from Singapore to Beijing on December 30.
